In short
Chillers, boilers, air handlers and valves do the heavy lifting
A BMS follows rules but cannot tell when they go stale
Ohmwood writes better setpoints back every five minutes
Every commercial building has a room most people never visit. It is where the energy actually gets spent.
The big four
Chillers make cold water. Boilers or heat pumps make hot water. Air handling units move air through the building. Valves and dampers decide where all of it goes.
A building management system, or BMS, is the software that switches all of these on and off.
A BMS is very good at following rules and very bad at noticing when they no longer make sense.
Where Ohmwood fits
Ohmwood does not replace the BMS. It sits on top, reads the same points, and writes better setpoints back every five minutes. Your engineers keep full control and can override anything.
